First and foremost, the professor points out that music class can help students and it is quite useful for those students who engage in the music class. It's mentioned that a famous CEO, working in Silicon Valley, had been taking music classes when he was young. It challenges the point made in the reading passage that attending music class can't prepare for the future and they don't offer benefits that can easy to live a real life.
Secondly, the professor states that students don't suffer from the music grading. He elaborates on this by mentioning that basically, most music classes evaluate not only the rate of attention but also the recognition of theory, the evaluation method is processed impartially. This is in opposition to the reading passage which states that evaluating the score would be unfair to students, some students don't have enough talent and ability couldn't acquire high scores, and this point can prevent them from entering high-level college.
